The Continuity Of All Things Moving

Finse, Norway, 2013

In Finse, an isolated place in central Norway, snow covers everything. The landscape is harsh but also soft, mutable, and constantly reshaped by wind and weather. After a heavy storm nothing looked the same.

This series captures the result of a single line of blue pigment placed on snow. The wind lifted it, carried it, scattered it — drawing a pattern across 30 meters of landscape.

Revealing the shape of all things moving.
